New Tee Boxes

Today we opened up the back Range Tee and also set the tee's up on the left side of #12 hope you enjoy. So feel free to drive to the back range tee any time if you feel like hitting off the grass during the week

Carts

Due to the heavy amount of rain fall yesterday and over night. Carts will not be let out this morning. I will re-consider letting them out this afternoon.

Little Green divot boxes

Good Morning it's a beautiful Saturday morning here at Redwood. Just a quick note, I have purchased nice new Divot sand boxes for all the markers on Par 3's I would like to incourage the membership to start to fill more of there divots after a tee shot on the par 3's . It would help out my crew in the morning as we have to fill every divot on the course.

New sod

Well the crew and I have laid down the new sod on the target green. And back tee on the Range. It makes the range look 10 times better I hope you enjoy. We had a bit of sod left over so we will be sodding #12 left side tee box. So bare with us today as we will be pretty busy on #12

Yardage on sprinklers

The Turf Team and I have been working hard on putting the yardage back on the Sprinkler heads the front 9 is done. back 9 will be done in the next couple days. 😃

The Turf crew has been working hard to prep the back range tee & the target green on the range we will be sodding this weekend. weather permitting. 

Great Day to golf

Well it's already June 10th the year is going by fast the greens are looking good  and rolling smooth. The topdressing  really helped. Some of you may have noticed that #7 Green is taking a long time to grow in on the back. The reason for that is cause we have a insect problem on that green. It's a cinch bug that feeds of the new seeds or the roots of the grass. I am aware of the problem and working on getting rid of them.

Sunny days ahead

Well with all the rain this week I'm glad it's over. we had some disease show up on the Greens with all the wet weather.  Lucky we spotted it quick. 

I was able to get a fungicide down to control it. And with the warm weather coming it will give the turf department time to focus on the Greens. To get a verticut done and also get a fertilizer app down. And we will also be topdressing on Sunday night to help smooth out all the bumps on the Greens and lowering the height of cut also so smoother and faster Greens to come.

Rain Day

It's a rainy day here at the course. The Turf crew will be working in the bunkers today. trying to get them all cought up with edging and grass removal. After we have them all edged and the grass removed, It will be easier to maintane them on a daily basis. Remember to dress warm if you plan on batteling the elements today 😃

Hello Members it has been a great week we were able to slice the greens on Monday morning and fertilizer today so with the slicing it will allow the fertilizer to move into to the soil quicker.
